Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Upon your arrival in Delhi, our representative will pick you up at the airport and escort you to the hotel. After a traditional welcome, you can relax in your room for the night.
Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
Delhi is a city that is as old as it is new. A luxury coach drives to the majestic Central Delhi, also known as Lutyen’s Delhi named after the man who planned and designed the Capital. As you drive around you will see Rashtarpati Bhavan and India Gate before proceeding to Humayun’s Tomb and Qutab Minar. All these monuments are form a different era in time and will give you a glimpse into Delhi’s rich past from the Mughals to the British. Your final stop will be Raj Ghat, the final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi.
Day 3: Delhi – Agra
After breakfast a luxury coach will drive you to Agra. On the way, visit the final resting place and tomb of Emperor Akbar at Sikandra. This beautiful complex is the work of many artisans and has exceptional filigree and inlay work.
Reach Agra by the afternoon and our representative will meet you at the hotel. In the evening visit the Agra Fort. An imposing structure that was built in the reign of Emperor Akbar, see the hall where he met his subjects the Diwan-e-Aam and the court where he met his guest, dignitaries and council, the Diwan-e-Khas. The fabled peacock throne is placed here, the largest diamond in the world, the Kohinoor diamond was the crowning glory of this magnificent throne.
Day 4: Agra – Jaipur
Wake up early to have the most memorable morning of your entire trip. We will head over to the magnificent white marble Taj Mahal. Shajehan spent 22 years building this beautiful tomb for this beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj is an ode to love and to all the lovers that ever lived.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will start your journey towards Jaipur, Rajasthan. En route, visit the ancient Mughal city of Fathepur Sikri. See the Jama Masjid that was built by Emperor Akbar as his private mosque. This town complex has beautiful and massive gateways on all four sides that lead to the places dedicated to his wives; Hindu princess Jodha Bai and Muslim Princess Rukkaiya Begum and also the one dedicated to his most favored minister Birbal.
Arrive at Jaipur and check into the hotel for the night.
Day 5: Jaipur
Start off your Jaipur sojourn with an experience that you can only have in India… ride to a hilltop fort, the Amber fort on the backs of painted elephants; the same way the Maharajas did centuries ago.
Experienced guides will take you on an afternoon tour of this historical city. Here you will see the Jantar Mantar ancient observatory before heading over to the Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace), this structure still speaks of the many conquerors that walked this land; a rare fusion of Mughal and Hindu architecture. The palace museum houses an extensive collection of Indian art heritage on display for visitors to enjoy.
Day 6: Jaipur –Delhi
After breakfast drive back to Delhi; once you reach your hotel and check-in, you are free for the rest of the day. You can go shopping in the sprawling Delhi markets, have dinner at one of its many restaurants and experience its glittering night life.
Day 7: Delhi – Kathmandu
You will be taking an afternoon flight to Kathmandu, Nepal. Once you get there our local guide will escort you to your hotel for the night. Relax and acclimatize your self to the higher altitudes of this mountain country.
Day 8: Kathmandu
Enjoy your day exploring the many facets of Kathmandu. You will be taken to the Swayambhunath Temple, Boudhnath Pashupati Temple and other tourist attractions.
Day 9: Kathmandu – Pokhara
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you on a half-day tour of Kathmandu city. Here you will see the Patan and Bhaktapur city. Afterwards in the evening, you will be driven to Pokhara. Check into the hotel here and enjoy dinner and a comfortable night.
Day 10: Pokhara
In the morning our guide will take you to the Pokhara lake. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake and see the floating island temple that is in the middle of the lake. You can explore the local bazaars that sell Nepalese handicrafts and other souvenirs.
Day 11: Pokhara –Delhi
After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu and catch an afternoon flight to Delhi. Our representative will pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel for the night.
Day 12: Departure
After breakfast and check out , we will escort you to your flight for the journey home or wherever else your adventures are taking you next.
